St. Louis County Home Healthcare Fraud: Owner and Associates Indicted in $1.46M Scheme
Federal prosecutors in the Eastern District of Missouri have charged the owner of a Bridgeton-based home healthcare company and three associates with a $1.46 million Medicaid fraud scheme that allegedly involved falsified billing to the Missouri Medicaid Program. According to the indictment unsealed in U.S. District Court, Daniell Green, 48, along with Dejuan Bingham, Kimberly Diazascencio, and Thomas Keith, are accused of participating in a scheme to create fake timesheet records and submit false claims for home healthcare services that were never provided. The defendants face charges including conspiracy to commit health care fraud and multiple counts of health care fraud.
Prosecutors allege that from July 2020 through February 2026, Green directed patients and purported healthcare workers to generate fabricated documentation to justify Medicaid reimbursement, even billing for care on dates when patients were hospitalized or when listed caregivers worked elsewhere. The complaint also asserts that Green submitted a fraudulent participation agreement to Missouri Medicaid and concealed required provider background checks, all while spending fraudulently obtained funds on personal expenses. The indictment highlights the aggressive pursuit of healthcare fraud within Medicaid programs and underscores the potential consequences for defendants if convicted.
